This seems like it will be an extremely hard up hill battle when dealing with big-agro; making it that much more important to be waged. For now though, it seems to fit in more with a local, market based network, and in many ways is already in play, though I am sure there are possibly areas where this attention is needed in this alternate system as well.
As I learn of more and more of these certification hoops, my concern has to turn to the small market farmer now being swamped for time to figure out which are the certificates to get rather than being focused on learning the best, perfecting the best, and implementing the best sustainable agriculture methods.
