I know this is a somewhat dated article; however, I was there in early 2020 and, as a gardener, I noticed right away that not even homes had personal gardens! I also noticed that the grocery stores selection of fresh fruits and vegetables was awful and their prices were extraordinarily high! I dug into why this was and found this article. It’s been a few years now since I’ve been there but I am always thinking about the opportunity this community has to vault themselves into some version of food independence!
Is there a place I can go to donate or to help out in any way from way up in Northern Wisconsin?
